UNO GROOMING
Damaged Do
You let your feet seep into the glorious white sands of the beach. You do the Fabio-hair flip. You do your mandatory Baywatch slo-mo-lifeguard jog and dive into the water, hot on the heels of your skinny-dipping lady friend. You may have that all-knowing smirk when you get out of the water, but you hair could just be cursing you to death for not having done it right.
WE DON’T SAY IT ENOUGH TO PROTECT YOU HAIR
from the sun. but the sun’s harmful UV rays gangs up with either sea water or chlorinated pool water to help destroy those locks you help save from that receding hairline. And God knows how that receding hairline’s paving way to some grand real estate good enough to build a new airport on.
SHOWER SOME LOVE
Before cannon-balling into the pool, try to go under the shower for just a sec. Wet hair soaks up more water than normal dry hair, giving less room for the chlorine to move in.
STAND BY ME
Use a conditioner on your hair to give a first line of defense to the chemicals. Pool water has chlorine that may vary in amounts, depends on how long your bud didn’t change the water in his pool. Anyway, too much chlorine will stick to the strands of your hair and change the color into a grayish or greenish cast. Not only will it take the luster out of your hair but drastically drain it from hydration. The same goes for sea water. The hair would turn out brittle and brassy without any protection.
COME AS YOU ARE
After taking the plunge and deflating those swim rings you wore on you arms, rinse your hair out immediately to get the residue out of your hair, use conditioner again to revive your hair of lost moisture. Comb through your hair to make sure you were able to get every strand coated. Rinse after with tap water and bask in a new head of fresh hair.
HAIR AND NOW
Now, we’re not saying to go out with a red Fabio-blazer or get yourself an ad. But hey, nothing bad about having you lady have something irresistibly soft and manageable to grab hold to.
